April's layout for the Scrap Your Heart Out Club

My club members were given a choice this month on their layout choice. The first choice was a reminiscent layout using Close to my Heart's Notebook paper. Very easy to create, for I just used the notebook paper, shining star stamp set, and the chocolate alphabet set lower case.

The second choice was a fun layout using Stardust Paper Pack. The template I used for the layout is called Sweet Symphony from the book, Imagine, from Close to my Heart. I used Stardust, tiny typewriter alphabet stamp set, and Stardust Stickease to complete this page.

It's been awhile

I am sorry for neglecting my blog. Life has been crazy around here....let me catch you up a bit. I have been re-wallpapering and painting my kitchen because my 2 year old decided to draw on the walls and rip off the paper back in the winter. As I was tearing down the paper on one wall, my two year old saw me and said, "I help you Mommy" as he proceded to rip off the paper on another wall. Mind you, I had just finished replacing the paper there. I shrieked, and he was so upset because he thought he was really helping me. I cuddled him a bit and said it was OK, but please, please do not rip any more. Later that day, as he logged onto the computer (yes he can do that, click on favorites and find his site) he somehow broke the computer screen. I was not home when this occured.

When my hubby called to say he was on his way home from work and could he pick anything up, I said Oh yes, we need milk, cheerios and a computer monitor please.

This was just the tip of the iceburg, but I don't want to bore you with every detail in one blog entry....I have to save some of my stories.

I created this page back in the winter when the Spring catty came out. I just love the Rock on stamp set because my boys are always playing guitar hero.

Items used: Aspen Paper Pack, Rock On Stamp set, Denim Blue Ink, Bamboo Ink and Delightful Alphabet set.

Playing with the Connections Stamp Set

Ok, so I felt like playing with the Connections Stamp Set the other night. It was sort of like doodling. I started with one circle, then added another, and kept right on stamping until I reached my desired effect. I was pretty happy with the result.

This is Matthew, my youngest of 7 children. He is so stinkin adorbable, but behind his cuteness, he is a real house wrecker. Just yesterday he hit our TV screen with some toy and broke it. Now we have lines running up and down the right side of the screen. He is the master of destruction. He knows no boundaries. This month has been an expensive one. Raising 5 boys is really expensive!!! They have broken a window, ripped my sofa, broke my TV, ripped wallpaper, and made peep-holes in the basement wall so they could spy on their sister and her boyfriend. That was just last month!!!! All you moms of boys, I know you can relate. My teenage daughters are expensive with beauty supplies, but they do not compare with the destructions of boys. Now that that is off my chest, I feel better now.

Enjoy the layout, more to come.

Our March Snow...Arrrgghh!

Our city of Atglen was caught in this NorEaster today. When I woke up, we only had about 3 inches of snow, so I was thankful that we were spared. However, the snow continued and now we have about 8 inches with snowy drifts. I was not expecting this, but what can you do? Just embrace it. Here is a picture of my backyard in the early morning.

Since it is snowing, I just had to make a card to brighten my day. Deneen Treble, a fellow CTMH consultant posted some adorable templates of girl dresses on her site. I printed the template out and here is my take on the girl dress card. This is using That's Amore paper, chocolate and blush inks, CTMH sparkles, Connections Stamp set and just some ribbon I had lying around. These dresses remind me of my little girls and what they use to wear.
