A sneak peak at the new May catalog

Close to my Heart's newest catalog is due out May 1st. I have them here at my house and I can't wait for you all to see it. The new papers are so adorable and summery!!! I am a beach nut and beach pictures are my favorite. I can't wait to start using "Moon Doggie" one of the five new paper packs. I'll post more peeks later. That way, you have to come back and check it out! I just love visitors on my blog.

A few cards

I am in a creative funk right now. This happens about once a month and it drives me nuts. So when I feel creative, I must act on it and put my life on hold so I can create like mad. When I was last feeling creative, I made these cards. Cards are so hard for me because to me, you have no room for error. Every cut must be accurate and there is not a lot of room for error. As I write this entry, my ENTIRE HOUSEHOLD IS ACTING CRAZY. THE NOISE LEVEL!!!! THE KIDS ARE CHASING EACH OTHER ALL OVER THE HOUSE AND ITS DRIVING ME MAD!!! The 16 yr, 11 yr, 10 yr, and 9 yr are chasing each other up and down the stairs. The 17 yr old is yelling "SHUT UP" ...for she is trying to get her homework done. The dog is barking and my two year old is throwing things and screaming. Save me!!!! It is so hard to concentrate, no wonder I can't be creative.

Memory Keeper Box

I am involved in our local chapter of Relay for Life which takes place this June. One of my fellow scrapbooking friends is hosting a Quarter Auction to help raise money. This memory keeper box is just one of the items up for auction. If you live in the Parkesburg, PA area contact me to find out how you can attend the auction.

It's the one year Anniversary since my Daughter drove thru our garage.

Yes, you heard that correctly. Last year, on April 1st, my daughter had just received her driver's permit and while practicing parking in our driveway, she got the pedals mixed up and hit the gas pedal while driving through our closed garage door. I was in the passenger side and could hardly believe my eyes when our garage door was on top of my car. The car was not damaged, nor were we hurt. I laughed so hard. You can either cry or laugh. I naturally laughed. On a good note, I got a new garage door with an automatic opener. On a bad note, I was in for a long road ahead of me (no pun intended) while teaching her to drive. One year has passed and she is a great driver. I still cringe when she pulls into the driveway.

April's layout for the Scrap Your Heart Out Club

My club members were given a choice this month on their layout choice. The first choice was a reminiscent layout using Close to my Heart's Notebook paper. Very easy to create, for I just used the notebook paper, shining star stamp set, and the chocolate alphabet set lower case.

The second choice was a fun layout using Stardust Paper Pack. The template I used for the layout is called Sweet Symphony from the book, Imagine, from Close to my Heart. I used Stardust, tiny typewriter alphabet stamp set, and Stardust Stickease to complete this page.
